About Severnshed Restaurant

Severnshed is part of Charterhouse Leisure Ltd, a company known for their national chain of restaurants, Coal Grill + Bar. However, Severnshed retains its famous name, independence and autonomy from the rest of the parent group in recognition of its eminent presence within Bristol and the surrounding area.

Many of the core dishes on the original menu, well known to many Severnshed devotees, remain unaltered whilst Executive Chef, Antonio Dias, from Coimbra, Portugal, utilises his Mediterranean skills in combining standard favourites with new and exciting dishes. Antonio sources fresh fish, meat and seasonal produce, from local suppliers, where possible.

The focus of the renowned service and delivery is perpetuated by restaurant manager and Maitre''d Stephane Clerc who's background includes such places as The Greenway Hotel, Cotswold House Hotel and Charlton House.

The Severnshed building is rumoured to be the personal boathouse of legendary engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
